Rescued by the Southern California Labrador Retriever Rescue in Orange County on October 15, 2001, Eli is believed to be a pure-bred male yellow Labrador retriever with English blood lines (based on his blocky head). His age was approximated to be 5 years at time of rescue (based on the condition of his teeth). We celebrate his birthday every October 15.
Adopted on Eli Whitney’s birthday (inventor of the cotton gin), named for him (Andrea is big into inventions and intellectual property) and for Eli’s foster mother, Michelle Padilla
